Half-Round Gutters
Why Choose Half-Round Gutters?
Half-round gutters are recognized for their classic, timeless profile. They are most commonly used on architectural, premium, and historic homes where appearance and detail matter. While half-round systems cost more than standard K-style gutters, many homeowners choose them for their distinct look and long-term performance.
Fox’s installs seamless 6" half-round gutters with round downspouts. We typically recommend corrugated round downspouts over smooth round downspouts, as they perform better through harsh winter conditions. Smooth aluminum downspouts are more susceptible to freezing and bursting in cold weather.
Half-round gutters are most often installed using fascia-mounted decorative hangers, which are fastened directly into the fascia rather than relying on roof straps installed under the roof. These visible hangers provide strong support while enhancing the historic and architectural appearance of the home.
Materials We Offer
Aluminum
Lightweight, durable, and rust-resistant. Aluminum half-round gutters are available in a wide range of colors, making it easier to match the home. Many customers choose this option to achieve the half-round or copper-style look without the cost of copper, including our popular statuary bronze–colored aluminum, which closely resembles the appearance of patinaed copper.
Copper
A timeless option for high-end and historic homes. Copper is by far the most expensive material we offer, but it also offers the longest lifespan. The corners are soldered together for strength and durability, and over time, the copper naturally develops a patina, creating a distinctive aged appearance and unmatched longevity.
Galvanized Steel
A traditional option with a historic appearance. Galvanized steel has a shiny, raw metal finish and is more affordable than copper while still delivering the classic, old-time look many homeowners prefer. Known for its strength and durability, it’s a solid choice for architectural applications.
