FoxGuard Gutter Cover

With over 30 years of gutter cover experience, we were tired of using covers that didn’t work. We created and patented our own cover using high-grade aluminum that addresses the issues that the national brand leaf guards raise.

Does Not Void Roof Warranties

FoxGuard Gutter Covers are connected directly to the gutter with specially made fasteners. These custom hangers allow the cover to attach to the gutter with absolutely no damage to your roof or shingles. They are one of the cleanest cover systems on the market with the least invasive installation.

FoxGuard Covers Blend In

FoxGuard Gutter Covers will generally match your roof color. This makes the covers disappear into the roofline, making them look almost invisible. We avoid white covers due to the fact that light-colored covers will generally stain.

Perforated & Non-Perforated

FoxGuard offers two styles of cover for any situation: perforated and non-perforated. We determine which product to use based on the kind of trees in the area. The versatility of FoxGuard's patented cover will keep your gutters clear of leaves and debris no matter the situation.

No-Clog Warranty

FoxGuard Gutter Covers come with a lifetime no-clog warranty. This warranty covers the interior of the gutters and downspouts.

The Benefits of Dark-Colored Covers

The dark colors will attract sunlight in the winter and help melt snow and ice, even before dark asphalt shingle roofs. This allows your gutters to take on melting snow and ice from the roof throughout the winter. FoxGuard Covers prevent your gutters from freezing solid in the winter making it one of the only covers benefitting you all year round. Watch as the snow melts off the cover before the shingles.

Why is FoxGuard the Best Gutter Guard for Metal Roofs?

Compatibility: FoxGuard does not go underneath the roof. It pushes against the fascia and locks into the hangers.

Snow Deflection: Metal roofs are known for shedding snow quickly. When snow sheets off the roof, it hits the FoxGuard Cover and deflects away instead of ripping the gutter off or curling into your gutter.

Tailored for Pole Sheds: Water accelerates down smooth metal roofs more than shingle roofs. For this reason, bigger 6” gutters are common on buildings with metal roofs- especially pole sheds. FoxGuard is manufactured in 5” and 6” so we can accommodate homes and even the biggest pole shed roofs.

Model of the side of a gutter showing a trim board in the fascia

About 20% of the homes Fox’s Flowrite Gutters works on have a trim piece (or “shadow board”) on the fascia. This decorative board creates an uneven surface that can also add minor shingle support. However, it causes two major problems when installing gutters:

  1. Gutter stability issues — Mounting onto the trim leaves a gap behind the bottom of the gutter, allowing it to tip inward and potentially pull its screws out.

  2. Pitch limitations — Because the gutter can’t sit below the trim board, the installer is restricted in how much pitch can be added, especially over long distances. Without added support, the gutter can’t be properly pitched.

Box flashing solves both issues by creating a flat, consistent surface that supports the entire backside of the gutter. This prevents tipping, allows proper pitch, allows us to flash the gutter properly, and results in a higher-quality, longer-lasting installation.

This company is very professional. There was no high pressure sales pitch, which can be off putting. Instead, the representative explained what we would be getting and for how much. When we decided to go with them, they took care of things in a very timely fashion. Highly recommended.

I live in a historic district in St. Paul, the Summit Hill neighborhood. We are renovating a turn-of-the-century Craftsman home and to accomplish this we are utilizing some of the original products and their essential requirements. Steve Fox with Foxguard Gutter Covers is installing six-inch copper half-round gutters that are period correct and will help preserve the historic charm of our neighborhood.

I rarely write reviews, but I can’t help it with this company. The gutter installation was very professional, and they were rightly proud of doing a good job. Even more, they went beyond the contracted work, fixing up some of the roof as well as installing the gutters, and wouldn’t take an additional penny. We’re very glad we hired them.
